Rogue Trader Alert
Warwickshire Police are investigating after a woman in her 90s from North Warwickshire almost fell victim to a rogue trader scam. The suspect approached the woman and agreed to cut her hedge for £60. When he finished he demanded £2000 and stood over her until she wrote the cheque.
Fortunately the woman quickly contacted the bank who cancelled the cheque.

•Never buy goods our services from unexpected doorstep sellers.
•If in doubt, keep your door closed.
•Call a trusted friend, neighbour, or relative, or the police if you are suspicious of a cold caller.
