Successful Event For Van and Bicycle Owners by Warwickshire Police
There was a great response from van and bicycle owners from Atherstone and surrounding areas, last Thursday evening. Despite lots happening on the night, including England playing football, well over 30 people came to the event organised by Warwickshire Police and the Rural Crime Project, funded by the Warwickshire Police & Crime Commissioner.
Carol Cotterill, Rural Crime Officer, said “We were really pleased with the number of van owners from the area who came to see us and receive a pack. It contains lots of help and advice, including some kit to put in the vans to help them. We also had people booking in their power tools to be marked and registered.”
PCSO Sarah Fretter, said it was great to have so many people bringing their bikes to be marked and registered on the National Bike Register. We had a queue of people come along with all types of bikes, ridden by all ages.
Further events are planned in the area by the team to support van and bicycle owners, plus property marking for a range of equipment.
