Appeal For Witnesses Following Collision in Atherstone
Warwickshire Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision in Atherstone on Thursday afternoon (5 July).
Police were called shortly after 4.30pm after receiving reports that an Aprilia motorcycle had collided with a grey Peugeot near St Peter’s Church on Mancetter Road in Atherstone.
The motorcycle rider, a 16-year-old boy, was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene. His next of kin has been informed. The driver of the Peugeot was not injured.
PC Wil Weininger from Warwickshire Police said: “We are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision to please call Warwickshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 20180705-0335 of 5 July 2018.
“Our thoughts are with the boy’s family at this difficult time.”
