Rescue From Shustoke Reservoir

Last night crews from Coleshill Fire & Rescue team were involved in a rescue from water which demonstrated how the emergency service’s work together at incidents in order to save lives. They were called to Shustoke Reservoir after reports of a female being in the water. The Police helicopter used its search light and thermal imaging camera to locate the woman, relaying information to crews from Coleshill who attempted to swim out to her. They were joined by a specialist boat crew from Rugby Fire Station who quickly entered the water and located the woman with the assistance of the Police. She was then handed over to our colleagues from the Ambulance Service who treated her and conveyed her to hospital. Great teamwork from all involved in a very challenging situation.
