Man Charged Following Police Pursuit

Warwickshire Police joined colleagues from West Midlands Police in the pursuit of a stolen Seat Ibiza in Aldermans Green, Coventry, at just after 1pm yesterday (Sunday 30 December), after it had failed to stop.

The car, which had been stolen from Fillongley on Saturday, was stopped on the A444 near to the Ricoh Arena following tactical contact by a police car.

Richard Howard, 25, of Himbleton Drive, Coventry, was arrested at the scene and later charged with driving while disqualified, driving without insurance, dangerous driving and receiving stolen goods. He is appearing at Warwickshire Magistrates’ Court today (Monday 31 December).
