Police are appealing for witnesses or information following a robbery at a shop in Coleshill.

At around 6.05pm yesterday evening (Wednesday 9 January), it’s reported two males entered a shop on Station Road Industrial Estate whilst each holding an item believed to be a handgun.

They stole cash and a quantity of cigarettes before leaving the premises on foot.

There were no reported injuries.

Armed officers and the dog unit were deployed to the scene to assist in the search for the offenders.

The offenders are described as two males, wearing masks covering their faces.

Detective Constable Paul Vines said: “Nobody was injured in the incident but this was understandably a frightening ordeal for those involved and we will be offering them support.

“We have launched a thorough investigation to identify those responsible and a number of enquiries are currently ongoing.

“We are appealing for information from the public; any information, no matter how small, may help us to identify the offenders.”

Anyone with information which could help with the investigation can call Warwickshire Police on 101 quoting incident 297 of 9 January 2019.
