Man Charged for Hillmorton Burglary and Dangerous Driving Offences

An arrest was made by Warwickshire Police Operational Patrol Unit (OPU) officers from Rugby after a burglary occurred at approximately Midnight on 13th January 2019 in Lyndhurst Road Hillmorton Rugby.
After a quick response by the victim in notifying police, the victim’s stolen vehicle was located less than an hour later and after a short pursuit officers arrested and detained the driver who was identified as Martin JONES aged 27 (NFA).
The victim’s stolen property was recovered and returned.
JONES was dealt with by the Offender Management Unit at Rugby Police Station where he was charged with 5 offences that included burglary, theft of motor vehicle, dangerous driving, driving whilst disqualified and driving with No Insurance.
JONES was charged and remanded in custody and is due to appear at Warwickshire Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 15th January 2019.
