Test Purchasing Operation : Coleshill, Water Orton & Kingsbury

Officers from the Safer Neighbourhood Team have conducted a series of checks on Off Licences in Coleshill, Water Orton and Kingsbury.
The operation targeted 9 Licensed premises however a shop in Coleshill unfortunately failed the test and will be dealt with for licensing offences. Kingsbury & Water Orton had a 100% pass rate and complied with the terms and conditions of their licence.
Why are we doing this?

The checks have been conducted after a spike in Anti Social Behaviour incidents which has been fuelled by young people being supplied with alcohol. Alcohol has been identified as a big part of the issue with Anti Social Behaviour.
What else are we doing to kerb ASB?

We are of course patrolling the key areas and targeting those who wish to cause ASB but by removing the Alcohol it makes the job a lot easier.
