Robbery at Aldi, Station Road , Coleshill

Police are appealling for witnesses to a robbery that occurred at Aldi Foodstore in Station Road, Coleshill sometime between 23.30hours on Wednesday 5 June and 00.35hours on Thursday 6 June 2019.

The offenders, described as 5 white males in dark clothing, wearing masks and carrying tools entered the store and threatened the 3 members of staff and forced them in to a back room, taking their mobile phones. One of the males is described as having an irish accent.

Initial reports are that a male member of staff suffered a bruise and scratch after being hit over the head with a brick. The staff were held for over an hour and after the incident an ambulance was called to check them over.

The offenders stole approximately £2000 cash and the keys to a black Audi S3 before using the car, belonging to one of the members of staff, to leave the area.
