Vehicle on False Number Plates Seized and Two Arrested
On Sunday 2nd June a White Mercedes Sprinter Van was spotted on the A3400 near Tredington. The vehicle matched the description of one involved in theft of batteries earlier in the day in Warwick.
The Van was displaying Romanian number plates but when stopped the true UK registered identity was established. With no tax or insurance the vehicle was seized. Amongst the scrap in the back of the Van a number of items were recovered as evidence. The 31 year old male Driver and 30 year old female passenger from Cradley Heath were arrested on suspicion of theft.
Both have since been released under investigation as enquiries continue.
