Female Rhea and Chicks Stolen in Avon Dassett

Last night (30th June/1st July) unknown offender(s) have entered a rural location in Avon Dassett and stolen a female Rhea bird (please see picture – not of actual bird taken) and killed a male bird. Rheas are large flightless birds similar to an emu or ostrich.  Fourteen chicks have also been taken. If you have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area, seen birds matching this description suddenly appear at a location or offered for sale in suspicious circumstances please call 101 and refer to inc 170 of 1/7/19, advise online at www.warwickshire.police.uk or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
