Vehicle Stolen From Farm Recovered and Three Arrested

A Toyota Land Cruiser fitted with a ‘CanTrack’ unit was stolen at midday last Thursday, from a farm near Warwick when left unattended with keys in the ignition has been recovered by the Rural Crime Team.

Working with police colleagues from the Specials Constabulary and response, officers arrested 3 males from the Rugby area on suspicion of conspiracy to steal motor vehicles.  All were lodged at Nuneaton custody and the following day the Rural Crime Team conducted an extensive property search as part of the investigation.

Due to the nature of the area search the Environment Agency also attended and commenced their own investigation.

Further evidence has been seized including over £3000 in cash, following interview all arrested were released under investigation while our work continues.

The owner of this Toyota said that it’s their main farming vehicle and without it the financial impact to their working week on top of the loss of the Toyota would have been huge.  With a tracker fitted it was located the same afternoon that it was reported stolen.
