Two Men Charged Following Burglary in Corley

Detectives investigating a burglary in Corley have charged a 16-year-old boy and 18-year-old man in connection with the incident.
The incident, which occurred on Monday (28 October) in Bennetts Road North, was reported to police after the home owner arrived back and disturbed offenders burgling her house.
The offenders fled in a black BMW 116 stolen in a separate offence last week.
Officers from the Warwickshire Police Operational Policing Unit (OPU), who were responding to the incident, spotted the car in Holbrooks, Coventry. The occupants abandoned the vehicle.
The two males were arrested nearby on Nunts Lane.
Keaton Ward, 18, of Barton Road, Bedworth, and the 16-year-old boy from Coventry who can’t be named for legal reasons were both charged with burglary and being carried in a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent.
They both appeared at Warwickshire Magistrates’ Court yesterday (Wednesday 30 October) where they were remanded in custody to appear at Warwick Crown Court on 28 November.
Police enquiries into the theft of the BMW are ongoing and detectives are keen to speak to anyone who saw the vehicle acting suspiciously between Friday 25 October and Monday 28 October.
