Catalytic Converter Stolen From Vehicle in Great Alne

Sometime between 16.00 hrs on 5/2/20 and 18.30 hrs 6/2/20, unknown offender(s) stole a catalytic converter from a vehicle on Appleby Close, Great Alne.  If you saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area or have any information that could help the police with their enquiries please call 101 and refer to inc 103 of 7/2/20 or email NorthWarwickshireRuralAlerts@Warwickshire.pnn.police.uk.

Consider the following advice:

  1. Park in well-lit areas where possible.
  2. Park close to building entrances or the nearest road in public parking lots. This leaves your car in a location where many people can see it.
  3. If you have a personal garage, keep your car parked inside with the door shut.
  4. Consider video surveillance to your property over looking where you regularly park your car and/or a beam alarm system to advise if someone is near to your vehicle.
  5. Install a catalytic converter-specific security device, have your cars vin number put on the catalytic converter or use a marking kit.
  6. See if it is possible to adjust the security system on your car, if already installed, to activate from vibrations, such as those produced by a saw.
  7. Be vigilant and report anyone acting suspiciously to the police.
