Stolen Car Recovered

Whilst on patrol in Brownsover this Citroen C2 was seen by officers who suspected it may be stolen. The vehicle failed to stop and was pursued around Brownsover for nearly ten minutes. During the pursuit, at times the vehicle travelled at over three times the speed limit and crashed into two vehicles belonging to members of the public. The second collision disabled the Citroen and the driver ran off. After a foot chase the driver was arrested. Shortly after the pursuit ended the owner of the Citroen discovered the car had been stolen. The driver of the car remains in custody to be questioned in relation to offences of dangerous driving, aggravated TWOC, driving whilst disqualified, possession of drugs, driving without insurance and other offences. No members of the public were harmed in this incident.
