Bogus Caller in Arley – Can You Help?

At around 10.00 hrs today (28/3/20) a male in a white transit van knocked on the door of a property in Arley and said he was from the council and had come to mend the roof.  The occupant allowed the offender into the bedroom where he said he needed to be left for a short time to apply a chemical spray, he then left.  Following leaving the property it was found that cash had been taken.  If you saw a van acting suspiciously in the area, may have CCTV footage of a white transit van in the village around this time or have any information that could help the police with their enquiries please call 101 and refer to inc 98 of 28/3/20 or email NorthWarwickshireRuralWatch@Warwickshire.pnn.police.uk.

Please be vigilant and do not let anyone into your property. Please make family, friends and neighbours aware, especially any elderly or vulnerable residents.
