Attempt Thefts From Farms in Willey Area

Inc 278 of 28/3/20

Two youths attempted to steal a trailer from a field near Willey using a quad bike.  They were disturbed and made off leaving the quad bike in situ which has been recovered by the police.  Investigations are ongoing.

Inc 347 of 30/3/20

Unknown offender(s) attempted to steal a caravan from a farm near Willey at around 22.00 hrs last night (30/3/20).  The farmer heard a noise and called the police who responded with patrol, a dog unit and NPAS (helicopter).  Unfortunately the offenders made off and were unable to be located.  The vehicle used to take the caravan was recovered and later found to have been stolen from the West Midlands area.  Investigations are ongoing.
