Warwickshire Police Teams Recover Stolen Caravans and Trailers

Yesterday (14th May) a call came from Tracker that alerted us to a caravan stolen from Derbyshire  heading into the Warwickshire Police area. Officers from our OPU  unit and our Police Dog team located the caravan in an area of North Warwickshire.

As it was being recovered Sergeant Shaw, PC Purcell and PC Timmins from the Rural Crime Team joined the officers at scene to see if any other stolen property was at the location.

Working with our contacts in the National Vehicle Crime Intelligence Service (NaVCIS), NCC CRiS caravan register and The Equipment Register – TER we identified 5 further stolen caravans and two stolen Ifor Williams Trailers. One of the caravans was reported stolen as the team were checking it.

With items stolen from Warwickshire along with areas covered by Derbyshire Police, Staffordshire Police, Cheshire Police Police, Leicestershire Police and Thames Valley Police, a multi Force investigation has commenced. Suspects have been identified and forensic work will take place.

*All property recovered has had the owner identified.
