Swimming in Quarry Water Alert

Warwickshire Police are receiving more and more calls relating to people swimming in quarries.

It is dangerous, you are putting your lives in danger and those that have to rescue you if you get into difficulty.

You have no idea what is under the surface, the water might look inviting but cold water shock is a killer.

Please speak to your children, especially teenagers about the dangers of quarries.6 people have drowned at Newbold Quarry including 2 local children aged six and ten. That is six victims to many, the grief and distress for the families and friends must have been overwhelming. We don’t want you to go through a similar experience.Please stay out of the water.Stay safe and well.
