Lambs Butchered in Warwick

The Rural Crime Team have attended two further incidents involving the illegal butchering of lambs on private farm land over the last week. Both incidents took place on land off Myton Road in Warwick with 4 lambs butchered and only their fleeces left behind. It is possible that there may be links to fishing on the River Leam.

Following an extensive search of the area, items have been seized for DNA analysis.

This sort of offence falls under Operation Hillman and is still a regional priority. This year has seen a significant reduction in offences and we are still awaiting trial for an offender charged in relation to a warrant executed in Northampton.
