Theft From Farms and Recovery of Property in South Warwickshire

Over the last week, the south of our county has been hit fairly hard with the theft of several ATV’s, quad bikes, off road motorcycles and power tools. The team have been out at all times targeting those responsible and searching to recover the stolen items.

During late evening patrols, PC King from the Rural Crime Team acted on some intelligence and with assistance from West Mercia Police Officers, searched a location just over our border near Bidford on Avon where a stolen Honda quad bike was recovered, taken from a farm just outside Stratford the previous night.  Its owner was absolutely delighted and the bee keeping equipment on the back was still in tact.

The Rural Crime Team has since returned and made further recoveries of stolen Stihl power tools which is believed to have been stolen from a nearby farm the same night. 3 Yamaha Motor quads, KTM and Yamaha off road bikes and other tools are still outstanding.

The Rural Crime Team are continuing to work on these burglaries and are doing all that we can to protect our farmers vehicles, which are integral to their day to day work.

Please double check all your security and do everything you can stop to stop thieves from taking things that are so important to you.
Property mark, use of trackers, beams, alarms, CCTV, secure areas are just some of the things to consider.  More information can be found on our websites www.warwickshire.police.uk and www.warwickshireruralwatch.co.uk.
