Arrests Following Recovery of Stolen Vehicle & Break In to Car

Warwickshire OPU Officers responded to a report of 2 males having broken into a car and stolen a handbag in Studley.  They located the vehicle and managed to block it in to prevent a pursuit.  The occupants were arrested and are in custody helping with our enquiries.
Shortly after leaving that incident, the officers were in Henley-in-Arden and saw a Peugeot.
Something didn’t seem right with the vehicle so they tried to stop it and after a short pursuit the driver ditched the car and ran into gardens near Wootton Wawen. The driver left the vehicle rolling down the A3400 and despite having to secure the vehicle and the driver wearing a tracksuit and trainers we still apprehended the 20 year old driver after a lengthy foot chase (after which he threw up from exhaustion). The other 3 occupants were also located.
The vehicle turned out to be stolen from West Midlands Police area last month when the owner left the vehicle with the engine running. They too are helping with the enquiries in relation to the theft. OPU PS.
