Sheep Worrying Incidents Reported

Our team has received another two reports of sheep worrying in the county.
While tending to his flock on Friday 20th November during the early hours, the Shepherd was faced with an utterly horrific scene.
One sheep had been torn apart and the other was attacked with such force that it’s front leg was missing. The second sheep was taken to a local vets but it didn’t survive its injuries.
The flock were grazing in the popular dog walking area of Ilmington village, South Warwickshire.
It’s clear from the injuries sustained that the sheep were not targeted as a source of food by a predator, a domesticated animal is suspected.
The second incident was in Little Lawford where a ewe was savagely attacked and will have to be euthanised because of the horrific injuries she has received.  The flock are all in lamb so there may be other devastating consequences to this awful attack.
