Dash cam appeal: Police seek witnesses to alleged assault in Polesworth

Officers are appealing for witnesses to an alleged assault in Polesworth.

Today they released a dash cam image of a man they would like to trace.

It is believed this man may have information that could help with their enquiries.

The assault took place at around 2.40pm in Fairfields Hill.

The suspect got out of a blue Mercedes.

The victim – a teenage boy – reports he was pinned against the wall by a man and shouted at. He was not injured in the incident.

PC Chloe Harrison said: “I would appeal for anyone who witnessed the incident to please get in touch.

“If anyone recognises the man pictured in the dash cam image can they please contact police as we believe he may have information important to this investigation.”

Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting incident 299 of 17 December 2020.

Information can also be passed anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
