Great Work by Our Special Constabulary

At the weekend, officers from the Special Constabulary conducted a vehicle crime operation in North Warwickshire.
Just after 21.00hrs on Saturday night, officers stopped a vehicle on the A5 near Birch Coppice.  A roadside drug wipe was conducted on the driver which came back positive for both cannabis and cocaine,  the driver was arrested and blood samples taken. The passenger in the vehicle was found to be in possession of cannabis and received a cannabis caution.
At 23.00hrs a male was stop searched in Middleton following a suspicious incident. He was found to be in possession of a small amount of cannabis and an extendable baton. He was arrested for both offences.
At midnight officers attended reports of a rave in Water Orton. On attending, numerous persons were witnessed socialising and listening to music. One officer was hit in the face and pushed to the floor, receiving minor cuts and grazes. At least 15 persons have been reported for breaching Coronavirus Act 2020 legislation.
In addition to this, numerous vehicles were stop checked, and 3 x cannabis warnings were issued over the course of the evening.
