Police Advice on Cable Ties Not Linked to Dog Thefts

Warwickshire Police have been made aware of rumours on social media that cable ties are being put on lampposts to alert thieves to houses with expensive dogs. We can confirm we are not aware of any such incidents in Warwickshire.

The Police have seen a number of dog theft offences in the county recently (a growing issue replicated across the country); and are investigating these and appealing to the public for information. Warwickshire Police have not found any evidence cable ties were used to identify any of the animals stolen.
