Male Arrested in Atherstone on Suspicion of Assaulting an Emergency Worker

A police officer was allegedly spat at after he arrested a man following a disturbance at a property in Long Street, Atherstone last night. A 25-year-old man of no fixed abode was arrested on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker and causing criminal damage. He remains in custody.
