Vulnerable Road Users Campaign – Equine Event in Rugby

As part of the National Vulnerable Road User Campaign we were pleased to support an event at Rugby Riding Club last night.  The evening included an excellent presentation by Alan Hiscox, Safety Director from the British Horse Society on road safety and riding on the road.  RCC Carol Cotterill from the Warwickshire Police Rural Crime Team and Warks Horse Watch talked about equine crime prevention and showed a number of devices that can help on security, plus PCSO Helena Seal and PCSO Nina Parish, from the local policing team, who organised the event, provided advice and guidance on reporting incidents and receiving alerts.
A second event is being held this Saturday 25th September between 10am and 3pm providing free tack marking, plus crime prevention advice and an opportunity to speak to your local policing team.  Also a chance to pick up a horsebox/trailer sticker or Warks Horse Watch sign, plus lots more.
Either drop in anytime or email helena.seal1@warwickshire.pnn.police.uk for an appointment.
We look forward to seeing you.
Location: Rugby Riding Club, Ashlawn Road, Rugby CV22 5QE.
