Trailer Recovered in Barnacle

This stolen Ifor Williams trailer was recovered after Rural Crime Team officers conducted routine checks on it while in attendance at an unrelated incident near Barnacle.

The trailer was reported stolen in 2008 from the our force area.

After speaking the victim, it transpired they didn’t have the trailer insured at the time of the theft. Even though it’s some 13 years later the victim was very pleased to have his trailer returned to them.

Conducting routine checks on plant machinery, trailers and caravans has once again provided a good result for all.

If you own a trailer, please take the time to register it with The Equipment Register – TER. This vastly increases your chances of getting it back should the worst happen and follow the crime prevention advice on the attached information sheet: Trailer Advice.  Further crime prevention advice can be found on our websites www.warwicshireruralwatch.co.uk and www.warwickshire.police.uk.
