New Sergeant Joins Rural Crime Team

Following the retirement of Sgt Bob Shaw from the force in December 21, after 30 years service in Warwickshire Police, the Rural Crime Team are pleased to announce the appointment of Greg Wheeldon as the new Sergeant.
Greg joined Warwickshire Police in September 2004, and has had a varied career working on the front line in response and proactive roles and then in the custody department and judicial services.
Greg said “I am really pleased to be joining the Rural Crime Team, who have produced some great results since its launch in 2019. I have always taken a proactive approach to policing in every role I have done. Having been between 4 walls in custody for so long it is great getting out with the team meeting people, working with other forces and being proactive in addressing and taking action against the offenders who commit crimes in the rural areas of our county.”
Inspector Allison Wiggin, Rural and Wildlife Lead for Warwickshire Police said “ Greg is a seasoned officer, who brings valuable skills and experiences to the rural crime team. I am looking forward to watching the team grow in their abilities, reducing the number of victims in rural areas and bringing offenders to justice.”
