Theft of Lead From Church in Emscote

Crime Ref: 23/28640/22

Sometime between the night of 6th (Wed) and the early hours of 7th (Thurs) July, unknown offenders stole lead from the roof of All Saints Church, Emscote.

Theft of lead is a national concern, if you live near a church or building with this on the roof, flashings, or any other part of the building please be vigilant.  Report any suspicious activity to the church contacts and police.  Offenders can be very blatant and will take lead in the day as well as at night.  They may wear hi viz clothing or other work wear to make them appear to be carrying out official work so please if you see unusual activity and it is not expected please check it with someone that would know and if at all concerned call the police.
