Male Arrested and Two Motorbikes Recovered by Rural Crime Team

Following reports of nuisance motorbikes riding around the Piccadilly area of North Warwickshire, the Rural Crime Team spent an evening patrolling the village and the nearby rural areas.

As the light was fading, one of the officers spotted a grey Yamaha being ridden erratically, the rider then failed to stop for officers before heading back into the village.

During a search of the locality one male tried to run away and hide in a bush. The Sergeant spotted a hand poking out of the bush and went to investigate.  The male was detained at the scene while officers conducted a detailed search of the area for the motorbike.  The Sergeant located two confirmed stolen motorbikes nearby and the 18 year old male was arrested on suspicion of theft and the two bikes were recovered.
