Warwickshire Road Safety Partnership Recognised in National British Horse Society Awards

Great to hear that Warwickshire Road Safety Partnership have been awarded The British Horse Society Tarquin Trophy for excellent service by an organisation or business in the cause of equestrian safety.

The Warwickshire Police Rural Crime Team coordinator was part of this team who helped make films and clips promoting the important message of passing riders and carriage drivers safely on the road, as well as involving Warwickshire HorseWatch volunteers on the films and Op Snap information cards.

The WRSP also distributed boards to equestrian properties around the county raising the awareness of the importance of passing horses wide and slow on the roads. The Rural Crime Team are also supporting this key message and the new Highway Code rules around the safe passing of horses on our roads by doing Close Pass operations around the county.
