Damage Caused to Kinwarton Dovecote – Can You Help?

Warwickshire Police Rural Crime Team officers are currently investigating a case of criminal damage to a scheduled monument in Warwickshire.
Kinwarton Dovecote has stood within the parish of Kinwarton since the 14th century, and is currently being maintained by the National Trust.
However a recent report of damage estimated to have happened between April 2025 and August 2025 is shocking to say the least, the photographs do not do it justice.
For an unknown reason offenders have torn pieces of stone from their nesting holes. Mindless and unfathomed damage that has partly destroyed over half a centuries worth of history and heritage.
The Kinwarton Dovecote has recently been an ‘honesty box’ method of payment for entry. The damage to the Dovecote now means that the site may be closed for the foreseeable future, as repairs to any heritage site are often incredibly expensive and take a long period of time to restore.
If you have collected any evidence of the damage or know the offenders involved or even better would like to own up to the damage.
