Warning Regarding Purses Being Taken in Atherstone

A number of incidents have recently been reported in Atherstone town centre of purses being taken and the contents stolen.

Please be extra vigilant when shopping or in a busy area, make sure your handbag/bag is close to you with the zip firmly closed.   Put a purse bell on your purse so that it makes a noise if someone lifts it from your bag, these are available from Atherstone library and the NWBC council offices.

If you see anyone acting suspiciously please let someone know in the shop and report to the police on 101.
