Police Action in Kingsbury
You may have seen a large number of Police Officers and PCSOs in Kingsbury yesterday (13/12/18).
Kingsbury has recently been subjected to a disproportionate number of vehicle crime and burglary offences, which has resulted in a number of vehicles being stolen and homes broken into. This is unacceptable and Warwickshire Police are responding with placing a number of officers into the village to tackle the issue by raising awareness and increasing home security. By patrolling morning, noon and night in a combination of marked and unmarked vehicles and utilising the Mobile Police Station in the village from Monday 17th December for residents to come and speak to their local policing team and get some free crime prevention advice and leaflets.
We are also looking to work with Staffordshire Police in Dosthill and Wilnecote, two Staffordshire Police areas we share a border with in raising awareness of High Value Vehicle Thefts and Performance Vehicle Thefts. The mobile police station will be in Kingsbury from Monday 17th December and will be at key points in the village including on Ascot Drive, Dosthill (which is actually in Warwickshire).
To make a start on our launch of Operation Fortress you might like to read a small leaflet we have produced called ‘Vehicle Crime’. We have already delivered this leaflet to homes and businesses that have high performance vehicles either on the drive way or registered to them on the Police National Computer.
