Warwickshire Police Operation Patrol Officers Action During Patrol

A couple of examples, of why vehicles get seized by OPU Officers in Warwickshire Police:

Near Junction 2 of the M6 the Jaguar made off from a marked Police vehicle at speed, and tried to hide. It was picked up again by an unmarked car and then boxed with another car to prevent it making off again. The driver has never passed a driving test or bothered to insure the car. It was seized and driver reported to court.

On the A444 Bedworth, the BMW had just been bought and the driver had run out of fuel. When we went to help he admitted he had not arranged insurance before he left the place he picked it up from. Again seized, and driver reported.
