Farms & Rural Properties – Importance of Crime Prevention

Following a spate of quad bike thefts across the rural areas of Stratford District and trailer thefts in the North Warwickshire area, we are alerting members of the farming community to the importance of securing your property.

While we’re out patrolling and trying to catch those responsible a key part to the overall issue is prevention. Regularly when visiting farms our officers find significant property worth thousands, tens of thousands and sometimes hundreds of thousands of pounds on display with no security and nobody nearby.

There are very good pieces of technology and equipment across all areas of security.  It is also worth speaking to your insurance company who may be able to offset some or all of the cost with a premium discount.
