Warning – Offender Took Cash Posing as a Police Officer

At around 18.00 hrs yesterday (22/1/20), a resident in Baxterley was approached by a male who said he was from the Police and was checking on fake bank notes. 

The male took cash from the resident, saying that he would check for fingerprints on the notes. 

The person is described as a white male, bald head, 40/50 years old, well built and wearing a blue jumper.  

Please be aware if you are ever approached by a representative from a police force, in uniform or not, they will always have their ID with them.  Please ask to see their ID and if you wish to check further, i.e. their name or collar number call 101 with the details.
