Offenders Using Stubble Fields

We have recently had some incidents where offenders have committed a burglary in rural areas by taking advantage of coming across stubble fields to the back of rural properties after the field has been harvested.  Please be aware of this and take all precautions to secure fields, shut and lock any gates when combining has finished and if the gate place is not regularly used consider putting something across it.  If you have a property that backs onto fields please review your security and be vigilant.  Stubble fields can also used by poachers and illegal hare coursers.  Please be aware, take precautions to secure your property and report anyone acting suspiciously to the police, providing as much information as possible.
