Please Do Not Leave Dogs in Cars in Hot Weather

WARNING: Please do not leave your dog alone in your vehicle this summer. Leaving your them in a hot car can be hazardous to their health and can result in death.
When its 25’c outside a car can heat up to over 50’c in just a matter of minutes and become fatal for your pet.
Thick fur and limited sweating means that dogs don’t cool as well as us.
Dogs can quickly develop heatstroke and die in a hot car, having a window open will not help your dog!
Please leave your dogs safe at home in hot weather with shade or in a cool area and with plenty of fresh water.
Call 999 if you see a dog in distress in a hot car.
May be an image of text that says "DOGS DIE IN HOT CARS In just 20 minutes, a dog could die in a hot car. If you see a dog in distress in a hot car, call 999 immediately. WINDING DOWNA ENOUGH Û NEVER LEAVE YOUR DOG IN A WARM CAR"
Also when we have hot weather only walk your dogs in the early morning and late at night when it is cooler, not in the heat of the day.
Be mindful that pavements and other surfaces can get really hot and burn the pads on dogs paws.
