Officers Respond to Off Road Bike Issues in Barnacle and North Warwickshire

Over the weekend, the Rural Crime team responded to a spike in ASB bike issues by patrolling hotspot areas including Barnacle and the North Warwickshire area with assistance from Atherstone SNT and a Special Constable.

Off-road bikes were deployed in order to allow officers to patrol areas that are usually inaccessible by other means and increase the likelihood of being able to deal with and apprehend offenders.

Police received a call from a quick thinking member of the public reporting off-road bikes on public land being ridden in an antisocial manner near a children’s playground. Officers attended within minutes with their off-road capability, resulting in one suspect being stopped and their bike being seized which they won’t be getting back!!
