Rural Crime Team Investigating Dead Buzzard Found in Old Budbrooke
The Rural Crime Team are presently investigating a dead buzzard found near to Old Budbrooke, Warwick. There appears to be no apparent injuries and didn’t appear to have been dead very long. The bird has been recovered and submitted to DEFRA for analysis as we are aware of avian flu in local regions, plus we need to rule out foul play in its demise.
Persecution of raptors is uncommon in Warwickshire, but is one of our teams priorities, so if you are out walking and find a bird, especially a bird of prey, that you think may have died in suspicious circumstances, then please report it to the Police.
